School Vision
Do to others as you would like them to do to you
Luke 6:31
Welcome to
Nestled in the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis, at the heart of the stunning Jurassic Coast, St Michael’s is a vibrant and nurturing Church of England school. We are proud to be part of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust (DSAT), sharing the core Christian values of Love, Hope, and Joy.
At St Michael’s, our vision is rooted in the words of Jesus: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” This guiding principle, together with our shared values; Respect, Honesty, Compassion, Kindness and Trust, shapes every aspect of school life. We strive to create a caring and inclusive environment where these values are lived out daily, and where every child is encouraged to grow in character, confidence, and community.
We invite you to explore our website to discover more about our school, our values, and the enriching experiences we offer.

Lister Class & Langmoor Class – Computing Collaboration! Today our pupils from Lister and Langmoor worked brilliantly together on their computing curriculum, exploring and programming Micro:bits. It was wonderful to see our Year 5 and 6 'Teachers' step into their leadership roles with confidence and maturity. One of them proudly said, "We're using the 'I do, We do, You do' way of teaching, just like in class!" We couldn't be prouder of how all our children supported one another, showing our school values of kindness and respect every step of the way. Fantastic teamwork, problem solving, and learning from everyone involved!

Many of our children took on special roles as the Disciples, Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Jesus, bringing the story to life with respect, thoughtfulness and confidence. Their participation helped us all feel immersed in the emotions and messages of this important moment in the Christian calendar. We are so proud of how our pupils showed compassion throughoutlistening carefully, supporting one another, and engaging with such maturity. A beautiful and memorable time of reflection for our whole school community.

Living Our Value of Honesty at St Michael's This week in collective worship, we explored the story of Zacchaeus, a reminder of how choosing honesty can transform us and strengthen our relationships with others. Zacchaeus' decision to tell the truth, and make things right, showed great courage and a willingness to change for the better. We are incredibly proud of our Stars of the Week, who have shown this same value in their classrooms and around the school. Through their words and actions, they've demonstrated what it looks like to live out honesty, even when it isn't always the easiest choice. Thank you to our wonderful pupils for shining so brightly and setting such a fantastic example for our school community.
Celebrating Our Superstars! What a brilliant way to end the half term! Over the past few weeks, our fantastic pupils have truly sparkled; showing kindness, respect, perseverance and teamwork in everything they do. Their enthusiasm and hard work have made this a wonderful half term, and we couldn't be prouder. A huge thank you to all our parents and families for your continued support and for joining us to celebrate our pupils' achievements. Well done to every single one of our superstars. You've earned a well deserved break! Here's to an exciting and successful next half term!
Celebrating Honesty at St Michael's Last week, our children shone brightly as we explored the story of Nathaniel in the Gospel of John, where Jesus simply says, "Follow me." Nathaniel's openness and honesty became a powerful starting point for conversations across school, and our children truly rose to the moment. We are so proud of the honesty they showed, in their words, actions, and reflections. It's wonderful to see these values lived out every day in our school community.
A Beautiful Morning of Kindness Today our visitors led an inspiring collective worship on our value of kindness, and our children shone in every possible way. They listened with open hearts, engaged so thoughtfully, and reflected deeply on what kindness means in their own lives. One child summed it up perfectly when they said: "I see kindness today. You have been kind and come into school to be with us and lead our worship." What a powerful reminder that kindness is noticed, felt, and shared. We are immensely proud of our childrentheir empathy, their confidence to express their feelings, and their ability to recognise kindness in others. Moments like these, show just how special our school community truly is. St Michael's: Kindness grows here.
