  • Pupil Premium

    Overview of the School

The pupil premium is additional funding given to publically funded schools in England to support the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and narrow the gap between them and their peers. Children who are eligible or have been in receipt of free school meals will be registered so that the school receives this additional funding. Schools, head teachers and teachers will decide how to use their Pupil Premium allocation, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils.

    At St Michael’s:
      • We aim to ensure that learning and teaching opportunities meet the  needs of all pupils.
      • We consider the needs of each individual carefully and consider those who may be vulnerable.
      • We focus on ensuring that our children in receipt of pupil premium are achieving very well, making good progress compared to national expectations.
